When people start a diet they usually set a goal weight for themselves. There are no set rules what this goal should be, but instead a goal is always individual and flexible. Lot of things like the dieters age, health and starting weight affect the target weight. But seen from a medical point of view the minimun target should be to reach a BMI of 30, because a BMI higher than 30 means a big increase in the risk of many health problems.

So it´s not always just the kilos you should be concentrating on. Besides BMI another good way to measure your progress is to take your body measurements. Healthwise it is actually more useful to measure your waistline than weight yourself. The right place for th is measurement

is 2 centimetres above the belly button. According to the World Health Organization guidelines  a women´s waistline shouldn´t be over 79 cm and a man´ s more than 93 cm.

A great way to reach your target when it comes to weight loss is the ValueSlim plan, an easy and healthy way to slim down.

Food is not only vital for people but it´s also a great source of pleasure and enjoyment.

In order to get all the nutrients we need from food it is important that our diet is varied. Three of the most important  nutritive substances for people are carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

A healthy diet should include all of these three. Over half of the energy we consume should come from carbs, a little less then a third from fats and about 15 per cent from proteins.

That can seem like some difficult math that is hard to implement in your daily life. Fortunately there is an easy way of controling your portions: the platemodel. The platemodel shows from which components a good meal comprises of and the model is very easy to use in everyday life:

Half of the plate on a meal should be filled with fresh or boiled vegetables, a quarter of the plate with potato, pasta or rice and another quarter with meat or fish.

Then add to this 1-2 slices of bread greased with margarine.

The Value Slim meals give you all the important nutrions a body needs and at the same time makes sure your portion sizes are suitable.
