In weight loss the direction is definitely more important than speed. This is an important thing to remenber when embarking on a weight loss regime. The rapidity of weight loss also depends on the method used. Usually when you lose weight by using a diet, the recommended speed is 500 grammes per week. If you are losing more than that a week, there is a good chance your diet is too limited and you´re not getting all the nutrients your body needs from your food. Value Slim makes sure you eat a healthy diet when losing weight.
The more overweight you are the faster the kilos will come off in the beginning of a diet. But it is good to keep in mind that at some point it will become harder to lose the kilos and shifting those last few kilos are the hardest. But the main thing is to keep at it and not get frustrated when the kilos won´t shift as easily as in the beginning.
It is also good to remember that after slimming down your body won´t need as much energy aka calories as before, so if you go back to your old ways after losing weight, the kilos will just come back.

When people start a diet they usually set a goal weight for themselves. There are no set rules what this goal should be, but instead a goal is always individual and flexible. Lot of things like the dieters age, health and starting weight affect the target weight. But seen from a medical point of view the minimun target should be to reach a BMI of 30, because a BMI higher than 30 means a big increase in the risk of many health problems.
So it´s not always just the kilos you should be concentrating on. Besides BMI another good way to measure your progress is to take your body measurements. Healthwise it is actually more useful to measure your waistline than weight yourself. The right place for this measurement is 2 centimetres above the belly button. According to the World Health Organization guidelines a women´s waistline shouldn´t be over 79 cm and a man´s more than 93 cm.
A great way to reach your target when it comes to weight loss is the ValueSlim plan, an easy and healthy way to slim down.

Yoga is a firm fitness favourite amongst many stars and celebrities. Numerous Hollywood yummy-mummies say they owe their post-baby bodies to yoga. But it´s not only the stars that are going crazy for yoga. And what´s not to enjoy when it comes to yoga, a great fitness method but also a wonderful form of relaxation.
But to really enjoy and get the most out of yoga, you should remember some things. Otherwise you can get injured or just lose interest because it feels too frustrating. Althought yoga is often thought to be less intense than high impact cardio exercise, it is actually a toug, exercise. So it´s very important to take it slow to begin with, maybe you can borrow or buy a yoga book or DVD that´s been made for beginners and start by getting to know what yoga is and practise the moves at home.
As there are numerous styles of yoga it is also of importance to find the right style for you. Some styles are more about stretching, others about strenght and some more about fitness. When going to a class it´s also important to choose the right level. Choosing a class that is too advanced will probably just frustrate you.
But overall yoga is a wonderful form of exercise and perfect when combined with a healthy eating plan like Value Slim.

The cornerstones of a healthy diet are variety and moderation. When you follow these simple principles you will get enough energy and nutrients needed by the body. When the amount of food consumed is smaller it´s really important to make sure you get all the necessary nutrients and vitamins from food.
The dietary model shows you the variety of a healthy diet. You should include something from every sector of the model to your daily diet. The six sectors are:
-vegetables, fruits and berries
-grain products
-meat, fish and eggs
-potatoes
-fats
By eating something from all the sectors everyday you can make sure your diet is healthy and also has variety. The ValueSlim plan makes maintaining a healthy and balanced diet easy.

Food is not only vital for people but it´s also a great source of pleasure and enjoyment. In order to get all the nutrients we need from food it is important that our diet is varied. Three of the most important nutritive substances for people are carbohydrates, fats and proteins. A healthy diet should include all of these three. Over half of the energy we consume should come from carbs, a little less then a third from fats and about 15 per cent from proteins.
That can seem like some difficult math that is hard to implement in your daily life. Fortunately there is an easy way of controling your portions: the platemodel. The platemodel shows from which components a good meal comprises of and the model is very easy to use in everyday life:
Half of the plate on a meal should be filled with fresh or boiled vegetables, a quarter of the plate with potato, pasta or rice and another quarter with meat or fish. Then add to this 1-2 slices of bread greased with margarine.
The Value Slim meals give you all the important nutrions a body needs and at the same time makes sure your portion sizes are suitable.

A healthy diet is perhaps the most important aspect of slimming down and staying healthy but exercise also plays an important part in it. But what are the best ways of keeping the pounds of and what should you remember when exercising? Here are some good tips to value slim.
First of all consistency is the key! To get the most benefits out of exercise it is important to be consistent with it and keep at it. If you are expecting to see miracle results in just a few days or weeks, you will be dissapointed. The way to achieve real and long-lasting results is to be consistent and keep up with your routine.
Setting unrealistic isn´t good, they can actually make you give up when you can´t reach them . Instead it´s best to set achievable goals and take it step by step. You can set yourself higher goals when you have reached your earlier goals.
It is also good to mix it up. An effective exercise routine is easy to compile from strenght training, interval training and cardio. One session does not necessarily have to include all of these, but you can do interval training on one day and cardio the next etc. For the best results you should exercise at least three times a week.

So a healthy lifestyle is a combination of certain important elements: healthy diet and regular exercise. These elements again are composed of several important factors. When it comes to a healthy diet one there is one thing it should definitely contain that is a good amount of veggies!
Vegetables are very important to people for numerous reason. For example vegetarians have been shown to live longer and not suffer from cardiovascular diseases as much as other people. But even if your not ready to be a 100 per cent vegetarian you can still enjoy the health benefit veggies provide. A diet rich in vegetables helps keep both cholesterol and blood pressure levels at healthy levels. A good goal would be to eat about 500 grammes of veggies per day. There is no point in eating just lettuce for the sake of reaching this goal. It´s better to mix it up and try different kinds of vegetables like pulses and root vegetables. By eating a wide range of veggies you also get most of the health benefits as the health benefits of vegetables seems to derive from the many nutrients veggies contain like fibre, vitamins, antioxidants etc. And different vegetables contain different nutrients.
Another good tip is to eat veggies according to season. That is a good way of mixing new flavours into your dieta and enjoying the greens at their best. Value slim also advocates adding your own fruit and vegetables to it´s plan to create the perfect healthy-eating plan!

Fats are a theme that always awekens a lot of discussion and debate. Are fats just bad for you? Should you eat fats and if yes then which kind of fats are good and which are bad? The first question is easy to answer: everybody needs fats so fats shouldn´t be compeletely avoided.
The human body actually needs fats for a number of vital functions. For example fats help our body to absorb nutrients and thay also help nerve transmission. So fats have an important role to play in our bodies and therefore shouldn´t be seen as the devil out to ruin our bodies.
But on the other hand fats can do a lot of harm in the human body if eaten in excess. When a person´s diet includes excess amounts of fats, there are multipal health risks involved.
